2018 - 19 Academic Calendar Updated

Board approves a revised calendar to recoup missed instructional time due to inclement weather. 

In response to a week of canceled school days following unusual late winter snow, the Springfield School Board approved the district's recommendation to revise the academic calendar adding one day at the end of the school year and modifying the remaining early release days to full instructional days. 

While the district had built potential make-up days in the academic calendar in case they were needed, the days were all prior to the end of February snow. Through a creative and collaborative approach with our associations the district was able to swiftly make the shift to the calendar to help minimize the end of year impact. 

A revised calendar will be posted as soon as it is updated.
