May, 9, 2022 - Thursday night, May 5, the Springfield Budget Committee officially kicked of the budget adoption process by receiving the proposed Fiscal Year 2023 budget.
Following the previous months of work sessions, the budget committee organized by selecting John Svoboda as the chair and began the process of reviewing the comprehensive budget that the district’s business office had put together.
This year, following feedback from budget committee members, in addition to the full proposed budget, a condensed proposed budget document was prepared for those interested in the higher-level perspective. Both documents are available on the district’s website for public review.

The next Budget Committee meeting will be held May 12, at 6 pm, in the boardroom of the district administration building, 640 A Street, Springfield, OR 97477.
