Hello Two Rivers - Dos Rios Families!

These are just a couple, quick friendly reminders. With the summer weather becoming more prevalent every day, we appreciate your help in helping our students adhere to the following protocols when planning what to wear to school. Please remember that school is a place to learn and play. We ask students to come to school in shoes that are sturdy and safe (save your flip flops for weekends and after school) and clothes that are comfortable and appropriate inside the classroom as well as on the playground. Hats and hoods are not to be worn inside the building. Clothing bottoms should come to at least the mid thigh and shirts should cover the waist. As it gets warmer too, sending a student with a water bottle is strongly recommended. Thank you again for your attention to this.

Also, families, please remind your students to check the lost and found for any missing clothing or items before the end of May. Remaining clothing and items after that date will be donated to Goodwill.

Hello Two Rivers - Dos Rios families!

It’s that time of year again! It’s time to confirm your enrollment for next year and verify the info we have on file for you and your kiddos. Verifying early helps us plan for next year and gives the office time to process the info before summer break.

This year, ParentVue is even easier than ever to use, and we are trying for 95% online participation! Once you get information in for one student, it’s super easy to add another and update them all at once. You can even do it on your phone. No more paperwork, and no more repeating information for multiple students. It saves all of us time and money, and, even though you may not use it much for elementary school, you will absolutely be using it in middle and high school, so why not start now!

Haven’t been in there yet? No worries - we can help! If you have a current student, you already have a ParentVue account. Just use this link below to access it. Please know that, as always, you can call the office anytime for help!
If you’ve already been in ParentVue but have forgotten your password, we can reset it.

If you haven’t been in yet, we can give you an activation code that will get you started. You’ll then be asked to create a password.

What to look for: Please take the time to review all the information carefully. Be sure to update any custodial or health information that we need to know. Check your phone numbers, work information, and review emergency contacts. Please note that you can and should call us anytime to let us know of any needed updates.

Required documents: Yes, ParentVue is going to ask you for proof of address each year. Taking a picture of a utility bill and uploading it works for a lot of people, but If it’s more complicated than that, or you have other info to update - for example, custody documents, name changes, or health information - you can email it or stop by the office to discuss.

We are very excited to announce that Springfield Public Schools is once again accepting applications for parents, family, and community members to volunteer! If you who wish to volunteer at TRDR, or any other Springfield School, please complete the online background check via the district’s RAPTOR system linked here (copy and paste the link into another browser window):

Please note that all volunteers must be fully vaccinated with current COVID-19 vaccinations, as described in the application process.

Also, please note that registering and being cleared to volunteer is not an all access pass to be a regular visitor at Two Rivers - Dos Rios. Volunteers will be selected to complete specific tasks in certain areas of the school with access to only those specific areas. We will let vetted volunteers know of specific volunteer opportunities as they arise.

We are very excited that we are yet another step closer to pre-pandemic conditions for our school!

Hello Two Rivers - Dos Rios families!

Today is March 1st, and it is amazing to think it has been almost two years since parents, family and community members have been able to enter our building due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We recognize that many of our families, particularly our new families with younger students, have never set foot inside the school. In response to this, we have worked to create a comprehensive SCHOOL TOUR VIDEO linked here for you all to view and enjoy. It includes an explanation of the floor plan of TRDR, and a guided visual tour of the building complete with an embedded map on the screen that keeps the viewer oriented to where they are in the building at that time. We hope you find this useful and enjoyable, and we look forward to the time (hopefully soon) when you are able to enter the school and experience it for yourself. Thanks so much and go Otters!

Hello Two Rivers - Dos Rios Families!

Just a couple of quick reminders! Remember this coming Monday, February 21st there is NO SCHOOL for students in observance of the President's Day holiday. School will resume Tuesday, 2/22.

Also, to wrap up our Random Acts of Kindness week, a reminder that our PTO is putting together a Book of Kindness - a book which will consist of material by our own TRDR students and what kindness means to them. The goal is to complete the book by the end of the school year and make sure that each child receives their own copy of the book. All of the proceeds from this raffle will be going towards that project until we meet our goal! Thanks so much!
