Thurston Middle School Principal's Corner

  • Update from Mrs. Starck - 9/30/20

Posted by Mrs. Starck on 9/30/2020

    Good Morning Thurston Middle Community,

We hope this note finds you well. Beginning October 5th, our testing window opens for our Math Diagnostic. Our partners at Curriculum and Associates have put together this helpful video that explains the diagnostic and why it is important.

Your student will be taking this assessment during their applied learning time. If you are unavailable to assist your student with the diagnostic, please have them log into one of our applied learning study sessions. Those study sessions can be found on their weekly calendar that is available on our website or in their Thurston Connect google classroom.

We appreciate you supporting us and your student(s). Do not hesitate to contact your child’s mathematics teacher if you have any questions.

    Sincerely,

    Brandi Starck

    Greetings Thurston Middle School Families,

The past 48 hours have been surreal. We are holding our school community in our hearts and focused on the safety and well being of our students, families, and staff. Safety and care are our number one priority.

We are continuing to work behind the scenes to make sure that we are ready for your students. Please be patient with us. We are trying to balance the needs of our school community with getting information to you as quickly as possible.

Schedules have been finalized and access to StudentVue will be available soon. I will be sending out a virtual orientation video that explains our schedule and how your student(s) will access their courses, by the end of the week.

If your family needs anything, please reach out to us.

Sincerely on behalf of our staff,

    Brandi Starck

    TMS Principal
