Bus registration is open for the 2026-27 school year!
Get started on the SPS District Transportation Services page
Eligible students who will be riding the bus need to register each year. Eligible bus riders are elementary students who live more than one mile from their school and middle and high school students who live more than one and a half miles from their school. Students that live outside the boundary of their school of attendance (including transfer students) are not eligible for transportation services. Students must live inside the boundary of their school of attendance to be eligible for transportation services.
Students must be enrolled for the 2026-27 school year before registering for bus transportation. Visit the SPS enrollment page
Don't delay - registering well in advance of the school year helps us cut down on the number of necessary adjustments to routes and stop times after the school year begins.
Temporary Rider Permit
Students who live closer than one or one and a half miles from their school, or need transportation to another location such as daycare, can apply for a Temporary Rider Permit. Temporary Rider Permits will only be approved if space is available on an existing route. Temporary riders will need to make arrangements to get to and from an established bus stop. New stops will not be added for temporary riders.
