Matthew Brandt appointed to Springfield School Board

The Board of Education unanimously appointed Matthew Brandt to the vacant Position 4 seat during its July 27 Special Meeting.

Brandt is a 15-year resident of SPS and the parent of three students attending Thurston Middle School and Thurston Elementary School. Professionally, Brandt has more than 11 years of experience in customer support, business analysis, product management and software service engineering. He also holds a certificate in accounting and has operated an early learning program with his wife since 2014. They also enjoy volunteering in the schools their children attend.

In his application, Brandt identified fiscal sustainability, student-centered outcomes, community trust and effective governance among his priorities.

Brandt will serve in Position 4 through June 30, 2027.
