Board Censures Chair; Elects New Leadership

During a special meeting on November 3, 2025, the Springfield Board of Directors reviewed the results of an independent investigation into several complaints related to board member conduct and governance practices.


After an executive session to review the investigator’s confidential findings, the Board reconvened in open session and voted to censure Director Jonathan Light. Additionally, the Board also voted to remove Director Light from his position as Board Chair, require him to reaffirm his oath of office and legal obligations as a board member, and complete governance training.


The Board also voted to remove Director Ken Kohl from his position as Vice Chair, require him to reaffirm his oath of office and legal obligations as a board member, and complete governance training.


Before adjourning for the night, the Board elected Director Heather Quaas-Annsa as Board Chair, and Amber Langworthy as Vice Chair.
