Springfield Public Schools and the Oregon School Employees Association (OSEA) have reached an agreement on a successor collective bargaining agreement starting in the 2026-27 school year.

The Springfield Public Schools Board of Directors approved a construction contract at its Monday, July 6 meeting that will allow the District to complete facility improvements at 10 schools in response to updated property insurance requirements affecting certain older facilities.

As part of its annual organizational meeting, the Board selected its leadership for the 2026-27 school year. Director Jonathan Light will serve as Board Chair, and Director Amber Langworthy will serve as Vice Chair.
