Sending off your child to school for the first time can be a little scary! We've put all the resources you'll need in one handy location.
Who should register?
Students who will reach age 5 on or before Sept. 1 (born on or before Sept. 1, 2012) are eligible to enroll in kindergarten in our district for the 2017-18 school year. (Yes, that's the class of 2030!)
What school will my child be going to?
Click here to use our online tool to find out what your neighborhood school is. If you would like your child to attend a different school, visit www.springfield.k12.or.us/transfers to find out how to apply. Note that during the Open Enrollment period (March 1-April 1), applications received will generally be accepted as long as space is available at the requested school and grade.
How do you register?
You can enroll at your school at any time before the beginning of the coming school year. Note, however, that elementary schools are closed during the summer and reopen in late August. Schools will be holding Information Nights in the spring, and elementary registration will also be held at all schools in late August. You'll need to bring proof of your child's age (such as a birth certificate), immunization records (which you can update before school starts), and proof of address for yourself.
