Invest in Our Shared Future

We believe that education is a community effort. Our schools face an uncertain funding future. Our community’s investment is critical to sustaining and increasing the quality of our local schools. Whatever ability you have to help, please consider investing in our shared future.

Volunteer

Dedicated volunteers can mentor and inspire students and provide new opportunities beyond what schools can. Today, it takes a whole village to educate and prepare students for living and working in the 21st century. Whether you are a member of our community with no children in school, a parent interested in helping in a classroom or a motivated student looking to give back, Springfield Public Schools can use your help!

To get started, fill out the online volunteer form and contact the school where you are interested in volunteering, or call the Community Relations Office at (541) 726-3213 for more ideas on how you can help out.

Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)

Volunteers organize many educational events for our children and district families in an effort to build unity and school spirit.

Through our own programs and activities, we help meet the needs of children in our community. We work to create a nurturing environment and a future of hope for our children. We provide parents, teachers and community members the opportunity to unite to improve our children’s lives by addressing health, education, and social concerns. Our successes are a direct result of commitment and efforts of our members.

Springfield Education Foundation (SEF)

The Springfield Education Foundation is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization working in alignment with Springfield Public Schools to strengthen our schools, helping to ensure our children are solid learners with the knowledge and skills to be productive citizens now and in the future.

We solicit and provide direct financial support from individuals, corporations and foundations to Springfield students and classrooms. This support is becoming more critical as public (and state) funds for public education continue to decrease. Since 1994, over 2.6 million dollars has been invested through the Foundation to enrich student learning experiences.
