Enrollment FAQs

Families who have never enrolled any student in Springfield Public Schools start by creating a parent profile in our student information system (Synergy) with your name, phone number and email address. (If you have enrolled students in SPS in the past, see next question.) You can do this by giving the information to your school secretary at Kindergarten Welcome Night or by contacting the school by phone, email or in person. You can also get started yourself by going to the ParentVUE new family enrollment page and choosing "Create a New Account." You will then receive an emailed link to complete your ParentVUE account creation and get started with registration. 

Good news! Your parent profile has already been created and you are ready to create a ParentVUE account. Go to the ParentVUE login page

1. Go to the ParentVUE login page.
2. Click "Request Account Activation" (pink key). 
3. Follow the screen prompts to setup a username and password for the first time.
4. Call your school office if you need support. During the summer, schools may not be staffed and the district office can help at 541-747-3331.

No, your ParentVUE account gives you access to update your student’s records. A new account would not be connected to our existing records and may delay your registration or require you to fill out registration twice.

There are a few reasons you may not receive a recovery email.
Most of them are resolved with a quick call to your school secretary to check on your account. They can help you activate ParentVUE, reset your passwords, or unlock an account if you have entered the wrong password too many times.  

• If you have active SPS students but were never given a username or password, follow the instructions below to activate your ParentVUE account.
  • Go to the ParentVUE login page.
  • Click "Request Account Activation" (pink key). 
  • Follow the screen prompts to setup a username and password for the first time.
  • Call the school office for the quickest support. During the summer, schools may not be staffed and the district office can help at 541-747-3331.
• If there is a typo in our records for either name or email address, our school staff can assist you.
• If you’ve been logged in before, or you aren’t sure, please call your school secretary.

Contacting your school is a good option for any ParentVUE issue you may encounter. Your school secretary can check on your account and help you get verified. You can also try solving the issue in your browser by clearing your browser cache and then try creating an account again. The other option in your browser is to try again using “incognito” mode, private window or “Privacy Mode.” 

That's ok! The ParentVUE registration form will save your progress and be ready to pick up where you left off.

Online enrollment is open year-round and you are encouraged to register your student as soon as you are able. However, summer help for registration is limited. Many school secretaries (especially elementary and middle school) are not in the office during the summer months. You may not get a confirmation until they return in mid to late August (dates vary by school.) Answers to questions and assistance with registration may also be delayed until your secretary's return. If you need help in summer, limited help may be available by contacting the District office at 541-747-3331.

When you use the ParentVUE app on your phone, required documents, such as proof of address, can be uploaded by simply taking a photo of them. Links to download the app are below the FAQ. Otherwise, documents can be scanned and uploaded on a desktop computer.

Usually this issue is caused by duplicate parent accounts for the same parent. A new account could have been created at the middle school as well as the elementary level or high school level. To resolve this please contact your school secretary or registrar to make sure we have only one account per parent and all your household’s children associated with that account. 

This is a personal preference as our system is flexible enough to work with your unique family structure. There is no problem with each parent being active in ParentVUE.

ParentVUE is designed to work with any family structure and includes tools to ensure your students' data is shared or protected as needed. If you need to make significant changes to a student’s custody or educational rights, please bring your paperwork to a school or district office to ensure our records are accurate.

The Online Registration system only allows addresses within Springfield unless you are approved to transfer in from a neighboring city. If your property is within Springfield city boundaries and still not coming up, please contact a school secretary. The most common cause of this is new construction that has not been reported to our system yet.

This usually happens when you enter the wrong password too many times. Any school secretary can re-enable your account.

Completing the Annual Student Review before the end of the current school year helps us prepare and plan for next year. Completing the review gives you an opportunity to review and update your and your student's information including contact information, health information, custody information, emergency contacts and more. After the Annual Student Review closes, you will need to contact the school's secretary to update these items.
