Clothing X-Change The Brattain House

1030 G Street, Springfield
The Brattain House is a hub for family services for the district, from free clothing for families, school supplies, homeless services, services for English language learners and connections to services throughout Lane County.

The Brattain House is home to a number of Springfield Public Schools programs:

English Language Development Program
Family Resource Center Program

  for students who lack a fixed, regular or
  adequate housing situation
Springfield Council of PTAs
Welcome Center (El Centro de Bienvenida)

The Brattain House's Community Family Center provides a variety of helpful services to our families:
The Clothing X-Change, located in a trailer outside the main building, provides free clothing for district families.

Help with school supplies:
If you or your family needs help obtaining school supplies or clothing for your child(ren), the Brattain House may be able to help.
Staff generally begin scheduling starting in mid-August for appointments the following week. Walk-in appointments may also be available. Qualifying families will be able to pick up supplies and choose clothing.
Donations of supplies will also be accepted at the Brattain House or at locations around the community (including the district Administration Buildling at 525 Mill St.) and area Bi-Marts.

Note: The deadline to apply for the Salvation Army's Angel Tree program has been extended to Dec. 15.

During the school year, many schools have Family Resource Centers located within them that provide a wide variety of services and information to families. Click here for a list of contact info.
