Springfield Academics + Recreation for Kids (SPARK)
We are thrilled to once again offer FREE summer programs in 2024 for students currently in grades KINDERGARTEN through 7TH GRADE, with a focus on enrichment, academics, recreation, and community.
Elementary Locations: Douglas Gardens, Guy Lee, Maple, Mt. Vernon, Page, Ridgeview, Riverbend, Thurston Elementary
Middle School Locations: Agnes Stewart, Briggs, Hamlin
All kindergarten through 7th grade students currently enrolled in a Springfield school are eligible to attend, even if their school is not a SPARK camp location.
Students will be provided with breakfast and lunch. Limited transportation is available for those that qualify.
What can you expect from SPARK camp?
- Fun, interesting weekly themes
- Hands-on, project-based learning
- Academic skill support
- Recreation (PE, music, art)
- Choice time
- Social-emotional/community building
- Snack, lunch and recess
Summer 2024 dates and times:
- Monday - Thursday
- July 8, 2024 - August 1, 2024
- Elementary: 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Middle School: 9:40 a.m. to 3:10 p.m.
Registration: We have closed our online registration for SPARK 2024. Please email Maria Denny (maria.denny@springfield.k12.or.us) if you have questions or concerns.
To qualify, your child must be currently enrolled as a Kindergarten through 7th grade student in a Springfield school. There will be other opportunities for children in other grade levels (including KITS for incoming Kindergarten students). If you have multiple students to register, please complete a separate form for each child.
