Springfield Academics + Recreation for Kids (SPARK)

We are thrilled to once again offer FREE summer programs for students currently in grades KINDERGARTEN through 7TH GRADE, with a focus on enrichment, academics, recreation, and community.

Elementary Locations: Maple, Mt. Vernon, Page, Rivebend, Thurston Elementary

Middle School Locations: Agnes Stewart, Hamlin

All kindergarten through 7th grade students currently enrolled in a Springfield school are eligible to attend, even if their school is not a SPARK camp location.

Students will be provided with breakfast and lunch. Limited transportation is available for those that qualify.

What can you expect from SPARK camp?

  • Fun, interesting weekly themes
  • Hands-on, project-based learning
  • Academic skill support
  • Recreation (PE, music, art)
  • Choice time
  • Social-emotional/community building
  • Snack, lunch and recess

Registration: SPARK registration opens in April. When you register, you will be registered for all four weeks of the program. Registrations will be accepted as space allows.

To qualify, your child must be enrolled as a Kindergarten through 7th grade student in a Springfield school. There will be other opportunities for children in other grade levels (including KITS for incoming Kindergarten students). If you have multiple students to register, please complete a separate form for each child.
