Springfield Academics + Recreation for Kids (SPARK)
We are thrilled to once again offer FREE summer programs in 2026 for students currently in grades KINDERGARTEN through 7TH GRADE, with a focus on enrichment, academics, recreation, and community.
We have received our state funding for summer learning 2026. The funding we received allows us to offer SPARK at a limited number of schools.
Program offerings are subject to resource availability, including staffing and funding, and are subject to change or cancellation.
Registration for SPARK is open now for students who attend these schools:
Elementary:
- Guy Lee
- Two Rivers-Dos Ríos
- Maple
- Page
- Riverbend
- Centennial
Middle School:

Hamlin Middle School (incoming 6th grade students and current 6th and 7th grade students)
What can you expect from SPARK camp?
- Fun, interesting weekly themes
- Hands-on, project-based learning
- Academic skill support
- Recreation (PE, music, art)
- Choice time
- Social-emotional/community building
- Snack, lunch and recess
Students will be provided with breakfast and lunch. Limited transportation is available for those that qualify.
Summer 2026 dates, times and locations:
- Monday - Thursday
- July 6, 2025 - July 30, 2026
- 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Elementary Location: Maple Elementary
- Middle School Location: Hamlin Middle School
To qualify, your child must be currently enrolled as a Kindergarten through 7th grade student at one of the eligible schools. There will be other opportunities for children in other grade levels (including KITS for incoming Kindergarten students). If you have multiple students to register, please complete a separate form for each child.
Registration: Registration is open until filled.
Willamalane After-SPARK Care
Willamalane will offer optional after-SPARK extended care at Maple Elementary from 3-6 p.m. Like the school year Kids Club, kids will enjoy games, art and more in a safe and fun environment. Families can register for after-SPARK care on Willamalane’s website for $210 for all 16 days of SPARK camp.
