Two Online Options available to families for the 2021-22 School Year
Springfield schools knows that every family situation is different, we stand ready to support every student in their learning needs. This year the district is pleased to offer two online learning opportunities to provide the greatest flexibility we’re able to support our students.
Students and families interested in online options are now able to choose between:
SPSOnline:
An independent learning option with the greatest degree of schedule flexibility. SPSOnline is the district’s long-standing online option that allows students to access learning on their own schedule with regular check-ins with teachers to ensure support and success.
Brattain Online:
New this year, the district will be offering online learning on a set schedule with live instruction from SPS teachers. This option provides regular daily scheduled real-time learning with SPS teachers paired with portions of independent study. Brattain Online will more closely align with curriculum tracks offered in our brick and mortar buildings and is a good option for families who are looking for flexibility in transferring back to in-person should circumstances change.
Families interested in accessing either online program should submit a district transfer form by September 6, 2021 to select the program that best fits their student’s needs.

Students and families can choose between two online models:
