We are starting up Family Resource Center! This will be a great new opportunity for our Ridgeview families!
We are starting this new journey with a soft start, and building it as we go!
It will be a year long implementation process of building up resources, developing relationships, recruiting wonderful volunteers and connecting with community partners.
Below is a welcome letter for our fabulous Family Resource Center staff member Jennifer May. Thank you Jennifer for all you are doing and will do this year to support our Ridgeview families!

Hi Ridgeview Families
My name is Jennifer May and I am working in the Family Resource center for Ridgeview Elementary. I am really excited and can’t wait to help. To begin with I plan on getting a clothing closet and a small food pantry in our school. If you need any help or would like to talk, please reach out and I would love to help you. Please call the front office @ 541-744-6308 and ask for Jennifer May. -

Hello Ridgeview Families,
The teaching staff has been back in the building this week getting ready, the school looks great, and we could not be more excited to see your students come through the doors next Wednesday the 8th for 1st - 5th graders
Kinder families we are welcoming students A-L on Wednesday the 8th and M - Z students Thursday the 9th. See you then!
Here are few other important details to review:
-Class Lists are posted today Friday the 3rd at 4:00pm on our front doors for grades 1st - 5th.
-Class Lists for Kinder will happen the following Friday the 10th at 4:00 after our two days to get to know your student.
-No changes to walking or biking to school from previous years.
-Parent Drop off will use the parking along the street and the parking lot across the street at the church. We appreciate their partnership!
-All students being dropped off need to use the sidewalks and crosswalks to access the school. Please do let your student cross anywhere else, it creates a lot of risk for injury with the business of drop off and pick up.
-The Lane in front of the school is BUS ONLY this year.
-The parking lot on our campus is for staff only. Thank you.
-School Supplies will come to school with your student on the first day. If you want to assist your student with carrying supplies please park in the parking lot across street and come on over. We do ask that all people on campus where a mask.
Thank you,
Looking forward to serving your students this year!
Ridgeview team. -
Parents,
Please note there is a change to our student drop off and pick up procedure for this upcoming year. This will be only for the 2021 SY! Please review the map and we appreciate your teamwork and patience as we adjust to our new procedure!
A few important contextual details about the change:
- We are very fortunate to be getting a new covered play structure!
- Our new covered play structure prevents us from using the playground as a bus loading zone.
- The School District and City are working to design an new, drop off and pick up system!
- This new system will not be in place until the 2022 school year.
- When we are all done with our process we will have a covered play area and a new and improved parking and drop off system!!
Thank you in advance for your cooperation and know we will be out there with you supporting the safe transition of our amazing Ridgeview students.
