    Dear Parents and Guardians,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all of your collaboration and support during these unpresented times as we navigate the challenges of comprehensive distance learning. Your dedication and involvement are to be commended,

As we approach the end of our first trimester, I would like to explain the report card process and how things will look different this year.

First, we will be using the same report card we have been using the last couple of years.  This is a comprehensive report card with many state standards.  We will be identifying the standards that are a priority and are being taught during comprehensive distance learning. The teachers will score the priority standards for which they have collected evidence of proficiency.  Teachers may also use the score of “G” which means the standard has been taught as a group or an NA which means that content was not taught.

Second, because of the delay in our school starting this fall due to Covid 19 and the wildfires, teachers had less time to teach all standards usually graded in the first trimester, thus not all standards will be graded.

Lastly, after grading day, December 2nd, we will be having our parent/teacher conferences,  Conferences will be held virtually on  December 3rd and 4th.  This is a time for teachers to check in with families to see how distance learning is going and offer any support that you may need.  Please look for a communication from your child’s teacher on Seesaw to sign up for a conference time.  Teachers will also be sharing assignment completion information and attendance information with you at this time.

As always, please reach out to your child’s teacher if you have any questions or need assistance.
