Socktober!

TES Sock Drive

Thurston Elementary students are participating in Socktober!  During the month of October, we will be collecting new (and very gently used) socks that will be donated to the homeless.  The goal of this outreach is to help our students understand the importance of giving back to the community, and helping those who are in need.  Your child can bring the socks to school and deposit them in the collection barrel near the office.  Thank you in advance for helping your child look beyond his/her own comfort, to the needs of others!

We are looking forward to welcoming our next year's Kindergarteners!!!  In order to get ready for them, we have opened their enrollment window.  Click here for a link to the district's enrollment page.  The link that says "Enroll an incoming kinder" will give additional guidance specific to Kindergarten enrollment.  We are looking forward to meeting this new crop of students!!

Continuing our annual tradition of collecting loose change (and bills!) during the month of November, we are preparing to help families in our school community who may have extra needs during the holidays.  We always appreciate the generosity shown by so many during this season!

Addendum - We collected $1469.68 during the month of November!  Thank you, TES families!
